Oprah Caught Between Barack and a Hard Place
There is a war brewing behind the scenes at the Oprah Winfrey show, one that could force Oprah to break her allegiance with Barack Obama -- so Sarah Palin can get some face time. According to the DrudgeReport.com, members of Oprah's sharply-divided staff are putting serious pressure on the talk show queen to book the first woman on a Republican ticket -- but not everybody is on-board. A Winfrey insider tells Drudge, "Oprah's website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama. "But after Sarah's star-making coming-out party, how can Oprah NOT book her? Decisions... decisions...So far, O's peeps refused to comment.________________________________________
Decisions, decisions indeed. What a position of power THAT must be... to be able to choose whether or not you want/need to host the presumptive GOP VP candidate, Governor Sarah Palin. Seriously, Oprah is so in the driver's seat on this one. True, it is neither a sign or show of support FOR Palin or the Republican party to host her, nor does it mean that Emperess O will be backstabbing Obama by allowing Palin air-time in honor of her historical nomination; however, not having her on could spell U-N-H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S among her female audience. Now, you and I both know that Saint Oprah is quite the force to be reckoned with and any viewer dissatisfaction will wane over the long-haul, but I'm just playing devil's advocate. Me personally, I say "Eff 'em"... the GOP that is. Lady Winfrey has enough influence and wealth to do WTF she pleases and her refusal would say to ME, that not only is she a staunch supporter of "Obama for Change" and a new, reformed government, but that she is unwilling to blur the line of said support at the sake of her TV ratings and popularity.
So Saint Oprah, if you decide to tell the good ole boys and their "good old party" to kick rocks, I'll be right there with you hosing the sidewalk.
SI, SE PUEDE!
